Typesetter / Artworker

We are looking for a typesetter / artworker to join our team at our Central London workshop.

Main tasks:

• Typesetting artwork for printing from customer supplied files and images (invitations, orders of service, menus etc.)
• Occasionally engaging directly with customers to develop creative design briefs
• Working alongside the production team to ensure jobs are delivered on time

Essential characteristics:

• Full working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Show creative flair – Although this position isn’t a full graphic design role, creative vision will be required when coming up with customer design ideas and engaging with the internal team on marketing projects
• Attention to detail – There will be aspects of proof reading to the role so spotting errors before files go to the customer is critical
• Professional telephone and email manner
• Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work well in a small, close-knit team
• Mature approach

Alongside these skills, the ideal candidate would also need to:

• Be comfortable with starting work early. The hours would be 8am – 5pm (Monday to Friday) with the occasional need to work overtime when facing very tight deadlines
• Have a desire to continue to learn new skills. Further training on additional processes may be required

Holiday Allowance: 26 days + standard UK bank holidays

Salary: £22,500.00-£25,500.00 per year (Depending on experience)
